The story of Aquaris™ · from OOASYS to InHouse R&D
Aquaris™ is not a technology copied from the market · it is the result of nearly a decade of continuous R&D, in which InHouse inherited the technology heritage of OOASYS starting in 2017 and developed it until it fully withstands Thailand's weather.
Because ordinary PDLC "dies fast" in Thailand
When R&D began in 2017, the OOASYS team found that PDLC switchable film from European and Chinese brands · when used in Thailand · degraded far faster than expected · film that manufacturers claimed would "last 10 years" actually survived only 1–3 years in bathrooms, on façades, or in areas exposed to rain and harsh UV.
The cause: commercial PDLC is designed for the indoor temperate climate (cool, dry air) of Europe · it does not withstand Thailand's 90%+ humidity, acid rain and UV intensity of 1,200 W/m² · OOASYS began experimenting with polymer encapsulation + edge sealing to withstand the weather specific to Southeast Asia.
InHouse received the transfer of this technology and spent 5+ more years developing it further · tested it in the field across 100+ sites throughout Thailand · refined the formula · added a UV barrier layer · and extended it to work with both Smart Film (PDLC/PNLC) and Switchable Glass (Tempered Laminated) · until Aquaris™ reached a lifespan +80% longer than the market PDLC baseline — because it is engineered specifically for outdoor use, withstanding the sun, rain and humidity that degrade ordinary film in 2–3 years.
